For Love or Money
As America aims to be the best economy in the world, it is important for our citizens to
understand that labor plays a key role in improving our country’s Gross Domestic Product by
efficiently combining its workers and capital equipment to produce more for the sake of trade
and consumption. According to a study conducted by Gallup, Inc., an American research-based,
global performance-management consulting company, “Currently, 30% of the U.S. workforce is
engaged in their work, and the ratio of engaged to actively disengaged employees is roughly 2-
to-1, meaning that the vast majority of U.S. workers (70%) are not reaching their full potential
