In this report we will compare two companies: Brembo and
Magna Steyr AG & Co KG. To do so we found some priorities for
the value chain transformation of a generic OEM towards 2025
and beyond: E-Mobility, Sharing economy, Manufacturing 4.0,
Autonomous driving, Digital business models. The most valuable
thing to do is always thinking in scenario
Brembo is a producer in braking systems. The company offers
other components and underpins its position as one of the leaders
in the OE market.
For Brembo the workforce is considered a valuable asset,
providing the thrust and drive that lead to any breakthrough.
Today the company operates in 14 countries on 3 continents, with
24 production and business sites, and a pool of over 10,800
employees, about 10% of whom are engineers and product
specialists active in the R&D. Brembo owns Breco, AP, Bybre,
and Marchesini brands and operates through the AP Racing brand.
Magna Steyr AG & Co KG is an automobile manufacturer based
in Graz, Austria. Engineers of Magna Steyr develop and assemble
automobiles for other companies, it becomes a strategic partner
for numerous global OEMs. Magna Steyr can draw on extensive
complete vehicle competence and wide experience in working
with many different OEMs to best serve both traditional
automotive manufacturers and new players in the industry. In
addition, the multi-OEM experience helps to make better use of
synergies and thus reduce costs and time to market. Today, Magna
