Excel Workshop
My experience at the Alpharetta campus was something new. I went to a computer
learning class. It was mainly composed of tutorials for the Microsoft program “Excel”. Excel is a
programmed spreadsheet designed by Microsoft to organize and calculate data. The class was
held by Kenneth Andrews, a part-time instructor at the school. I learned new things in the Excel
program, and I found good benefits from the program that’s for my major “engineering”.
One of the things I learned in the class was Pivot tables. A Pivot Table puts all
of your data in an Excel spreadsheet and presents a summary of your data in a table. Pivot
tables also give you easier ways to get a whole spreadsheet calculated.
Another topic on Excel that he gave was Pivot Charts. Pivot charts are basically
the same thing as Pivot tables but it’s a visual viewing of the pivot table. He showed us how to
