Writing Assignment #3- The Five Professional Organizations to Join
There are several reasons why joining organizations are important to my career. First,
professional organizations can help me find jobs, or at the least, show job listings that
other members are offering. Second, professionals may be the mentors who can guide me
to establish a career in advance. Moreover, networking is valuable for me to meet
professionals and a connection to the jobs I desired. Most organizations have an annual
conference for students to mix and mingle with others in the same field in both
professional and leisure settings. By joining, I can make contact and stay up to date with
the people who are hiring at the moment. The following are the five accounting or business
organizations that I wish to join to empower my career path:
1. The purpose of AMA (American Management Association) is to provide training and
valuable resources to ensure business professionals are knowledgeable and compatible in
the competitive business world. For example, they enhance the capabilities of business
professionals by providing analytical skills, communication skills, customer service,
finance and accounting, leadership, interpersonal skills, and more. They do provide
information for seminars, training, and events. They do have a $95 student membership
that allows students to benefit from free books, invitations to webinars, webcasts, and
podcasts, etc.
2. According to the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), their 22-word-mission sounds
incredible to me, “helping you enter the CPA profession and stay there, by connecting you
to the people and information you need to succeed.” They provide free student affiliate
