Five Core Values
Today I will be talking about the five main values that my family has instilled in me and
things that I have just learned through me journey in life. I learned the value of friendship and
creating relationships with everyone I come in contact with. Even with being just five years old
going on six, in kindergarten at a well-known Durham, North Carolina school in 2004; My
mother and grandmother loved this school for me and my siblings. And they knew I would fit
right in at Research Triangle Charter Academy. While lining up outside of my kindergarten
teacher, Mrs. Deskin, door to my class and wiping away my tears of missing my mother and
family, I noticed a fair skin little girl walking into her class with her teacher. She had pretty
