First Puppy
It was our dream, my sisters and mine, to get a puppy. Then one day our long awaited
dream came true. This day was different than most days, it was full of intense excitement and
joy. My sister had a grin that lit up her whole face; my mother and father full of worry and
hopefulness. It was the day, the day we got our first puppy. It was an early Saturday morning, on
a beautiful summer day, there was not a cloud in the sky, just the beautifully shining sun. We left
around seven in the morning, a forty-minute drive awaiting us to get our new puppy. We had
already picked the one, a cute, brown, little, boxer puppy, all we had left to do was name him.
Dexter, Rocky, Max, Buddy, so many different names were running through our minds. Finally,
we chose the name Rocky. Forty minutes passed and we found ourselves arriving at a small
house in a town called Dundee. All the sudden we felt everything at once; we were beyond
ecstatic to meet our soon to be new member of the family. All my parents could hope for now
was that we did not pick the crazy, obnoxious puppy that would destroy our house. After ringing
the doorbell, the owners opened the door, it was an older man and woman, they greeted us and
proceeded to welcome us into their home. As we walked in, to the right we saw the father dog of
the new puppy we were getting. The house smelled fresh and welcoming, hints of lavender filled
the room. We made our way around to the back of the house and there was our new puppy. He
was cuddled up with the mother dog. They were sleeping so peacefully we almost did not want
