At universities and colleges, sports and social activities are just as important as classes and
libraries and should receive equal financial support.
Currently, it is universally acknowledged that sports and social activities have been a
significant role as same as the role of classes and libraries at universities and colleges,
which has aroused a heated debate of whether sports and social activities should get same
financial support. However, not do all people have the same opinion. Though sports and
social activities are important for students, I think classes and libraries should receive more
money than sports and social activities do because of the core of universities, the cost of
facilities and the mission of students.
Because the core of universities is to provide knowledge for their students, classes and
libraries are best choices where students can attain more and more knowledge. That is to
say, their environment is suitable for students to study. Contrasted with classes and
libraries, it is considered that the roles of sports and social activities just provide students
leisure venues, which seem are not more significant than spot of classes and libraries. So
the study environment should receive more financial support.
In addition to the cost of facilities, libraries not only need a large number of resources that
