Financial Analysis of Anheuser-Busch InBev
Beer is one of the oldest beverages created by man dating back as far as the history of
civilization. Over the years, its uses have varied from religious reasons to disease resistant
beverages thought to be safer than water (Jenkins). Beer has since become a staple of many
customs and traditions and has even become the sponsor of various sporting events. As specific
brands and recipes emerged, companies began to combine to form larger and complex brewing
networks across the globe. In a series of mergers, a company which started out as Interbrew
began to amass large scale productions and brands (B).
In 2008, Interbrew or InBev and Anheuser-Busch merged to form the largest brewing
company in the world (B). Anhueser-Busch InBev is a Belgian and Brazilian Brewing company
with its central headquarters in Leuvan, Belgium (About us). AB InBev has offices worldwide
