College Finances
In order to pursue all of my dreams, it is crucial for me to attend a college that is
reputable for a strong business program. I believe the best fit for me, both financially and
academically, is Arizona State University at Barrett, the Honors College. I also had dreams of
attending Georgetown University or George Washington University, but those are simply too
expensive. Unfortunately, I have to rely solely on scholarships to pay for my education. As of
right now, I bear a $17,000 burden each year of college. Overall, this amounts to roughly
$68,000 that I will have to find on my own. My parents will be unable to pay for almost any of my
college, and expect me to pay for it entirely through scholarships. Without scholarships, I will
have to take out student loans, and risk being thousands of dollars in debt before I can even
attend law school. I do plan on working during college, and am currently working to pay for a
portion of my expenses, but a part-time job can only go so far. A scholarship from FBLA Arizona
would lessen the financial impact of having to pay thousands for a quality education. It would be
truly rewarding to know that all of this hard work has finally paid off, and that an organization as
prominent as FBLA believes that I have potential. Receiving a scholarship, no matter the
amount, would move me one step closer to achieving my goals.
