The People vs Pyroclastic Flow
Knees shaking, I have never been in a situation like this ever in my life. All I wanted to do was
defend my children from some home intruders. Now look at me, on the way to jail with a double
homicide case pending. It was only self-defense, but since I had priors they booked me anyway. I walked
in my appointed cell to see this hot headed huge guy. I asked him “what is your name?”. He replied
Pyroclastic Flow but, you can call me Pyro. He must have had a mental problem because he would pace
around the cell at 700 mph. I might be over exaggerating, but it was fast “What are you in for big
homie?”, I asked. He just looked at me and smiled. A couple of hours later one of the guards told me to
get up because my bail was posted. Joy filed my body as I jumped up. Just to my surprise they were
joking with me. I was actually going to get my trail date. The judge said that my hearing will be on June
27th, 2013 to decide my future. Pyroclastic Flow, well Pyro, was stuck up at first and kind of creepy to be
honest. The only time he left the cell is if he was forced out by the guards or a visit from his son Lahar.
Lahar was a muddy rough type of fella, you could tell he took a lot from his dad. To my surprise he
moved a lot slower than his dad. I still had no idea what he was accused of, he seemed like a rocky
smooth type of person, so I could not image him harming anyone.
The morning of June 27th the correctional officers came to us to take us to court for the first day
of trails. “All rise, this court is now in session, the honorable judge Shelbey Upchurch presided. You may
now be seated.” Pyro case was presented before mine, so I just sat in the court room and watched. “Mr.

Pyroclastic Flow, please raise your right hand, do you promise to tell the truth, the whole truth and
nothing but the truth so help me God.” I do. “You are on trial for multiple accounts of first degree
murder how do you plead?”. “Not, Guilty your honor.” The prosecutor began with, Indonesian Volcano
Mount Sinabung , had been dormant for 400 years, before it erupted in August 2010 killing at least two
people and displacing 30,000 others and in February this year killed 16 people. Indonesian authorities
said the flow of ash and molten rock had reached four and half kilometers down the slope and is
threatening nearby populated villages.” Pyro lawyer screamed, Objection! Sustained.
Pyro’s lawyer continued with, “Let’s all get to know Mr. Flow, he is a fast-moving current of hot
gas and volcanic matter (collectively known as tephra) that moves away from a volcano reaching speeds
of up to 700 km/h (430 mph). The gases can reach temperatures of about 1,000 °C (1,830 °F). It is
possible that he is just trying to get away from a dangerous volcano and n doing so unknowingly putting
