Pre-trial hearings are one of the most important stages criminal proceeding we as a can
offer a defendant. In a pre-trial setting, its main importance is to set precedent to the case and
determine whether or not there is enough evidence to pursue a criminal trial against the accused
or if they can be acquitted of all charges. It is the unique responsibility of the prosecution to
prove that the accusations against the defendant are true. This is why pre-trials are the most
important propriety of all; because you must have solid evidence in order to convicted an
individual of whatever crime they have been accused of.
According to DiGiacco (2017), there are many steps leading up to the trial process such
as; jury selection, gathering evidence, and gathering key witnesses—all of which must be
