Introduction
When Dr. Reid announced in class that we had to do a paper on 80 year olds and above I sat there and thought to
myself, who in the world do I know that Is 80 and above. As I sat there thinking it came to me that my great-grandmother
had just turned 90 years old. So I thought to myself okay, this will be easy. Until I zoned back into class and Dr. Reid
stated that we have to have three or more people. That’s when I was really like, who else do I know that is 80 or
above. So when I got to New York I asked my grandmother who in our family here is 80 years old and above? She looked
at me and laughed and said your great grandfather on my side is 86 years old. I looked at her in disbelief and said I
definitely thought he was at least 76 years old, and she said no honey he just ages well. After my grandmother had told
me that I knew that on my mother’s side, my great grandmother was over 80, so I could talk to her too. Being that my
