A lost Friend
The walks from school were long and enjoyable, although the weather was sometimes
restless the boy stilled enjoyed the walks; it didn’t matter to him how the weather was as long as
he could walk he felt happy. Walking was the only thing that let him remember his home, where
he used to walk from school and enjoy the fresh air, down the side of the mountains where he
lived; he remembered how he would always stop by the boxing gym that was on the only piece
of land that was not on a slope, and fight, but most of all he remembered his good friend Dr.
Trueblood; the boy made many friends at the gym, but most of them left to fight in other
countries, only Dr. Trueblood stayed.
As the time passed the memories of home faded away, even when he was on his walks.
He couldn’t remember the road to home, the gym, or the face of any of his old friends, except for
the doctor. He couldn’t for get him; the Doctor patched him up more times than the boy could
count, he even performed surgery when his appendix busted, when there was no way for him to
