Prostitution
Equality among the sexes is a topic which insinuates different debates in regards to which side of
the argument should be most supported. Most of these debates include opinions and ideals carried over
from the past to be opposed by debaters which view the topic in a different modern light. An argument
which has been debated countless time is prostitution, and the history behind it as well as the title of the
world’s oldest profession. Moreover, because of its history combined with modern practices, there are
several opinions and views on prostitution. One such debate, between Catharine Mackinnon and Martha
Nussbaum, provides an overview of prostitution and its legality. In Martha Nussbaum article, she
provides numerous examples and way in which prostitution should be a profession and legalized. In
contrast, Catharine Mackinnon provided a collection of details defending her stand against prostitution
