Females that convert to Islam
I have always been fascinated by stories of new Muslims that embrace Islam they are usually
always seen on several news articles and on social media articles. As a revert myself, I have a
profound curiosity for the stories they have to share as every new Muslims journey is different
and varies from one person to another. Which is why I chose to write about the topic of,
“Females that convert to Islam.”. I chose to focus on one gender set to make my research more in
depth and not vague so I have a better understanding in this. Researchers are finding this massive
number of converting to Islam as a phenomenon and are continuing to find evidence as to why
this continues to happen.
According to a new Pew research report, Muslims are going to be more than Christians within
the next half century. From 2015 to 2060, and the religious Muslim population is predicted to
grow by a whopping 70%, while the predicted growth for the religious Christian population is
seen at 34%. Also, with regard to the general fast-growing population in today’s world, the
amount of people who identify themselves as people with no religion, this includes those people
who identify themselves as atheists and agnostics, are projected to decline from 16% and
dropping down to 13%.
The word ‘convert’ as a verb means to change the form or character of something and as a noun
it is described as a person who is persuaded to change their religious belief to embrace a new one

according to Dictionary.com. People who are not Muslim refer to people who shift from one
religion to another as ‘converts’ while the Muslims often refer to these people as ‘reverts’ which
is based off of a Muslim belief. Muslims believe that everyone is born with a faith in God and
according to Islam, all children are born with distinctive sense of submission to God and this is
called a fitrah. Although these children are raised by their parents in another faith and
surrounded by a different community they somehow find they way back to Islam. Regardless of
your age, background or race anyone can accept and embrace Islam. As Quoted in the Quran,
Surely We have revealed to you [O Muhammad!] the Book for the people with truth; so whoever
follows the right way, it is for his own soul, and whoever goes astray, he goes astray only to its
