Introduction
Boredom in the workplace has become a major problem for companies to deal with in
regard to keeping their employee engaged and focused on their tasks. When an employee begins
to feel boredom in the workplace, it is usually due to various situations that occur throughout the
workday. It is mostly due to the fact that employers assign repetitive routines that employees
must follow on a daily basis, which leads to rule-breaking behavior. This is why employees can’t
wait for the weekend to get away from their responsibilities at work, and why the first day back
from the weekend seems sluggish or slow.
Boredom can bring negative implications to a business such as decreased productivity or
a decrease in quality of a product, but it can also result in an increase in creativity amongst
