Fallingwater
Widely renowned as the greatest American architect of all time, Frank Lloyd Wright
drastically changed peoples ideas of modern architecture and what it could be. His masterpiece,
“Falling Water,” is perhaps the greatest example of Usonian style architecture in existence.
Frank Lloyd Wright was an American architect born in Richland Center, Wisconsin in
1867 to a preacher and a school teacher. As a child he developed a connection with nature as he
explored the landscape that he was surrounded by. This connection would be evident in his
organic style structures that he designed later in his life. After graduating from Madison High
School, he attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he would eventually
drop out to pursue a career in architecture (Biography).
