Trump Iowa Freedom Summit
Introduction
The 2016 Presidential Election Campaign will be of great significance, Donald Trump
proposing to run for president in early 2015 was almost a joke to many people.
However, as we know now, it is not a joke of any magnitude. In early 2015 Trump made
a speech in Iowa, proposing his possible intent to run as president and shared many of
his views, as well as plans, that he believes would benefit our nation. Given the
circumstances of this years election, our upcoming presidential nominee will be tested
thoroughly in their ability to handle a national budget, given our currently fragile
economy. So, is Donald Trump the right candidate for our nation to look up to in these
next four years? As much as many Americans seem to believe that Trump would be a
negative asset to our White House, his campaign has only been successful, and he
dominates the media more than any other runner up.
During Trumps Iowa Freedom Spirit Speech, he introduced his opinions on our
nations currently outstanding issues which need attention. Claiming that Obamacare is
a total disaster and was introduced as a lie to the American public, stating that once
successful doctors around the nation, are now having to shut down. As if Donald trump
is not already clearly, in a different category of his own, one of his first claims in this
speech opposing any other form of opposition, was, “Politicians are all talk, no action”.
He expressed his opposition towards our lenient border policy between the US and
Mexico, claiming things such as “we have to make our country great again” and “I know
what needs to be done to make America great again”. All the mean while shooting down
our governments current flaws in efficiency and order. Despite these appealingly
positive claims from Trump, many citizens have taken a serious stand against his
campaign. These groups and people do not support the level of arrogance Trump
condones in his speeches, when referring to the action he would take towards executing
his plans. For example, in Trumps speech he refers to President Obama as “The king of
teleprompters” and further implies his view of this by simulating a teleprompter speech
as “blah blah bing da bing ding”. Many Americans have come to view this style of
