Extra Credit for Common Reading
Upon finishing pages 353 through 357 in our textbook, I learned about Lobe-Finned
Fishes pertaining to the Sarcopterygii label, Latimeria, Thunnus thynnus (what a tongue twister, I
might add), and how they adapted to their surrounds as evolution continued. This section of our
reading discusses the origin of the subphylum vertebrata, as well. Reading this section allowed
for me to gain a better understanding of how the subphylum vertebrata, along with its extinct and
currently existing members adapted and changed for the better of their survival; Without
