Experience Machine
The experience machine is a machine in which people would choose to be put into a
stimulation in order to create their ideal and dream life. However, this would not truly be what
is happening. It is an experiment where the stimulation is occurring, but it is not in real life. The
put people in a tank and create an alternate life. The alternated life created would soon bring
happiness to the people’s lives. Many people look at this in different perspectives and Robert
Nozick was one of them. Robert Nozick finds this experiment to be “the best life for us, because
it fails to make contact with reality.” He is the complete opposite of hedonism. Hedonism is
leaning towards the fact that human need pleasure to survive. Robert thinks the exact opposite.
He sensed the false reality created and knows that it is not right. I personally do not think
