Purpose

The objective of this experiment is to produce alum crystals. We can help achieve this substance

and produce the max amount of crystals by following the procedure.

Chemicals and Equipment

• Scissors

• Sandpaper

• 1.0g piece of an Aluminum can

• Analytical balance

• Hot Plate

• Glass Stirring Rod

• Filter Paper

• Funnel

• Watch Glass

• Distilled Water

• 2 250mL beaker

• 25mL of 1.4M Potassium Hydroxide
