1. Is Evo a centralized or decentralized company? Explain
In my opinion, Evo is a decentralized company. Decentralized companies give lower levels
more authority and autonomy for making decisions (Phillips & Gully, 2014). According
to the video, Evo’s founder has always felt that delegation of responsibilities was the most
efficient use of the knowledgeable next-level employees around him. The video also brings
to light that Evo as a company dedicates itself to the empowering of all of its’ employees
from top level administration to the bottom line workers. (Evo 2017) One of the senior
executives, Nathan Decker makes it very clear that training people and giving them the
tools necessary to do their jobs are an important part of successfully achieving goals. He
also states that the company does not want a hierarchical type structure. (Evo 2017)
