Eva Zeisel
Eva Zeisel was born in Budapest, Hungary on November 13, 1906. Eva Zeisel is
a maker of useful things. She form of ceramics was based primarily on the natural
world and human relationships. Eva Zeisel’s designs of useful things came from the
inspiration of her intense forms often comes from the curves of the human body. Zeisel
grew up with Hungarian people, which are where she got her sense of form and color
from, as well as her use of bird themes. Work from throughout her career is included in
important museum collections across the world. She had a strong appreciation for
