The community I studied for this report is my neighborhood. The neighborhood I live in
is right on the border of two neighboring cities. The two cities are very different in many ways,
including size, geography, population, laws, and demography. My property is on the city limits,
and the two sides of the border like to keep in good contact and act as one cohesive unit as much
as possible. Each side has to live by different rules and regulations, for example the city I reside
in banned fireworks, and the neighboring city did not. But, since we were able to communicate
our concerns openly about the dry climate and local fires very close to (even in) our
neighborhood, we were able to come to a decision that we would not be doing fireworks in our
area. We also decided that we’d keep a close eye on anyone who did, and call in anyone who was
doing it at the park because that is part of the city that banned fireworks, and parts of it had
