Ethical dilemmas occur day in and day out, the basis of an ethical dilemma
consists of two parties, of whom both are very combinative towards each other on
an issue. Typically one side is for something and the other side is against something.
In fact over the last few years one of the biggest ethical dilemmas faced in the 21st
century consists of same sex marriage. The best way to go about getting both sides
of opinions on the matter is to explore the various dilemmas and social
responsibility theories that make same sex marriage such a hot topic of discussion.
One of the biggest ethical dilemmas faced in regards to same sex marriage
relates to the idea of duty-based ethical standards. Duty-based ethical standards
tend to be derived from religious beliefs. In this case people who tend to have strong
religious beliefs, such as Roman Catholics, are typically against gay-marriage due to
