As we grow up, we are taught right from wrong, as adults we are sometimes phased with
ethical issues in the workplace. I personally have had a few experiences in past jobs that I felt
like I was in a hard place due to some issues or decisions made by coworkers. One ethical issue
that I will always remember was at my first job, I was 16 years old, where I used to work for a
local grocery store as a cashier. I knew that some employees were stealing small items, yet these
same employees were assistant managers, employees that were in higher positions than myself. I
didn’t not see it correct and I approached the store manager for a face to face conversation and
tell him what was happening. Being that it was a small town, and everyone knows everyone, he
didn’t believe me, or decided that loss was not a great. Over time, the same people started
stealing lottery tickets, not one tickets but stacks. Let me state that this was back in 1991, when
