Essentials for Survival
Clothing
1. Formals
For boys:
a. At least 3 formal shirts – light pastel colors, no stripes and should be full sleeves.
Dark colored shirts are not allowed.
b. Dark colored plain trousers without any stripes.
c. At least one complete set of western suit with blazer and trouser of same
(preferably black).
d. Tie without very colorful patterns (avoid bling colors like red).
e. Black formal shoes (with lace).
For girls:
a. At least 3 formal shirts – light pastel colours, no stripes, full sleeves or threequarters
sleeves. Dark coloured shirts or shirts with self-design are not allowed.
b. Dark coloured plain trousers without any stripes.
c. At least one complete set of western suit with blazer and trouser of same
(preferably black).
d. You are also allowed to wear plain cotton sarees in light pastel colours (sleeveless
blouses not allowed).
e. Skirts and Salwaar Kurtas are NOT considered formal.
f. Black formal closed toe shoes/sandals.
2. Smart Casuals
For boys:
a. Collared T-shirts (Plain/Strips but no design). These are also for semi-formal
occasions, min. 2, 3 is ideal)
b. Jeans
c. Sports shoes
For girls:
a. Salwaar Kurtas with sleeve are admissible with closed toe shoes/sandals.

3. Normal Clothing (at your discretion, but do wear decent stuff to class)
4. Belt(s)
5. Pajamas or other night-wear
6. Sportswear, as needed, not really necessary
7. Plenty of socks
8. Flip flops (a college essential)
9. For the winter (whatever is applicable. It’s okay if you don’t buy these immediately.
