Autobiography
“Write about yourself Gyrez, talk about who you are.” These words resounded in my head as I
sat down to write this essay. Suddenly, I thought maybe I should ask people who they think I
am. Did it even compare to who I know I am? Sometimes you think and wonder do people see
you for who you are or do they make you into the friend they want you to be to them? So one
afternoon I gave it a try. Who do you think I am?
“You are Gyrez.” “You are you”, they said. This one statement was the most confusing,
“you are you?” “You are kind, loving, cool and sometimes ignorant.” “Dude you too friendly”,
they mostly said. The most famous of them all was “you are sports.” Most of what people had
to say was repetitive of what the other crowd had already said. I guess I am the same ‘Gyrez’ to
everyone, no biasness here. But, to me I find the same Gyrez working on multiple ‘me’s to
accommodate everyone.
