Leadership
In organizations there are formal and sometimes informal leaders. According to
the textbook, leadership is the ability of an individual to influence a group or another
individual toward the achievement of goals and results. (Robbins, Stephen P., and Tim
Judge. Organizational Behavior. Pearson Education. Pg 380.) Usually, these individuals are
mainly informal leaders and do not hold a position of management or are not a
supervisor; however, there are some informal leaders that are formal managers or
supervisors within an organization. In this case, a small bistro has been having great
successes with clientele when suddenly one of the managers’ fiance is taken from just
another staff member to a salaried employee. The manager and his fiance see some
differences in the staff and realize that this is affecting their family business. This
