Globalization is not a fade or fashion, it is here to stay. For those companies whose wishful
thinking tells them stay local or domestic, they will likely fail. Globalization is more than
just having a part of your company abroad, it’s a way or trade and sells second to none. A
small brand could grow exponentially overnight if it had the right produce globalized.
Companies who put their names on a product worldwide are only “playing the odds”
correctly so to speak. Manufacturing, research and development are just a portion of what
is being globalized today. Companies are now sending accounting jobs and leadership
roles overseas. If you were to beg the question of, when will it end? How far will
companies go in order to stay financially strong? I would say to those people asking that, it
will not end; they and can go as far as they like. I saw a story written by Lou Dobbs of
CNN which was called “Exporting America” and in this story it lists several dozen
companies that are leaving the homeland and are sending either jobs or laborers overseas. I
for one would like to know the truth behind such corporations leaving. Could it be that
taxes are cheaper overseas? Or could it really just be good ole fashioned greed? I’d like to
know. Looking at this list by Mr. Dobbs article there are some heavy hitter (so-to-speak)
