Geography has become an extremely varied and versatile subject to learn and
its area of study has grown a great deal since its inception giving people more
areas to learn and study.
The concepts of place names, natural environment or influence of natural
environment on man’s activity have become old and unacceptable notions in
the light of the new and expanded concepts of geography.
The present-day geography is the study of spatial variations on the earth
surface; thus, it deals with relationships among spatial variables and can be
termed as spatial or areal science. Among main branches of geography,
Economic Geography is the highly developed branch.
