Treatment Plan:
Client: Nila Barnes
Problem: Ms. Barnes relationship with her mom isn’t going so well. Her mother Tonya is
working two to three jobs to job to provide for them, but it’s causing Nila to step into a mother
roll for her brothers. Her grades are slipping and her counselor at Louisiana Tech is concerned.
Goal: To fix her and her mother’s strained relationship and to also bring up her grades.
Objective: Brenda will take her brothers to the after school program and make time to study and
time for herself. She will write in her journal and discuss it with her mom when they each calm
down.
Action Steps:
1. Ms.Barnes will take her brothers to tutoring.
2. She will go to study sessions and make time for homework.
3. She will make time for herself and continue to write.
4. She will discuss it with her mother when she calms down.
