After taking this course so far, my opinion toward economics is not much different. To me
economics is the study of making a wise decision in choosing between two or more trade off.
When the word economics comes up, I always think of supply and demand because the world we
live in is about getting and giving, and buying and selling. I believe that there is nothing free in
this world. I have always wanted to learn how to make a better decision so the result of my
choice would come out as what I had expected. This course has helped me with that and to make
my daily decision more precisely. I plan to have my own business in the future, and so far this
course enables me to think like a businessman to craft my business plan more realistic. Then to
implement my plan to make it a great business in the future. In addition, this course also makes
me a better leader in both decision making and communication. I just realized that many
decisions I have made were related to economics. I was thinking as an economist sometimes. I
believe economics not only apply in professional settings, but it also can be applied in social
situations as well. Moreover, some economics terms I already familiar with are cost and benefit,
opportunity cost, supply, demand, economics surplus, and economics shortage at the beginning
of the course are now stay in my head because I understand them by my heart. . I hope after
completing this principle of microeconomics, I would obtain knowledge of how to look to
economics and society in a different perspective; especially, it can help me to make a wise
decision for my future career and businesses.
