Epistemology is basically what people know based on their exposure to the world and how
it affects the way they grow up, think, and act. Feminism focuses on epistemology because
Power is knowledge. What we all learn whole growing up is what has been passed down or
worth passing down from the people with power which is ultimately white males of
wealth. Skinny epistemology is a meager amount of knowledge. It is a small amount of
knowledge and can lead to even more ignorance based on what you think you know
because you just fill in all the blanks of your colander that you cannot see with things that
you think could be right. Robust is fat epistemology. This is what we should all strive for
because it means we have a better outlook on the world based on the amount of knowledge
and exposure to different communities. I obviously want a robust epistemology.
