RUNNNING HEAD: ENVIRONMENTALISM AND BUSINESS
Sustaining the Earth and running a business together, as one, is important for future
generations. People go about their days making their own carbon footprints, yet big businesses
make a larger footprint. Some businesses believe they will lose profits, and may even have to lay
off workers, in order to become environmentally friendly. However, when businesses become
environmentally friendly it can open a whole lot of new opportunities for that business. Business
environmentalism, or business sustainability, has many great benefits. Three benefits of business
environmentalism are that a business can reduce health and safety concerns, can reduce waste
and carbon biogas emissions, and can minimize their risk, due to climate change.
Health and safety concerns should be a business’s number one priority to sustain their
