One of the classes I took that was valuable for me was one centered on the idea of
entrepreneurship. It was invaluable for me because that is what I am already doing and
also what I plan on doing for the rest of my life, being an entrepreneur. Being young and
running my own company, I am constantly running into new challenges and problems to
solve on a daily basis. From the class, I was able to read texts and learn skills that have
already proven to be useful.
The assignments were particularly useful in the process of gaining skill, know-how, and
experience.
One of the projects required us to develop our own business plan, evaluate personnel, and
use certain resources. Again, this is what I am doing on a day to day basis, so to get the
feedback from class members and the professor was something that I will always use. In
addition, the readings are something I will always refer to in how I make decisions with
my own company: the knowledge that failure is something to expect and embrace and a
tool to grow and be successful.
Reading other stories about successful entrepreneurs was also inspiring. To know that not
everyone does things “by the book” allows true creativity to take over. The story behind
