Each state differs in the use of how offenders are allowed back into society. Below will
discuss how the state of North Carolina and the state of Oregon handles cases that are placed on
either parole or probation. Some individuals are given many opportunities to migrate back into
society successfully with the help of various programs and sanctions. Programs must provide
good quality services, target the correct offenders needs, and provide adequate opportunities. If
all these things are follows accurately and precisely, we could have a safer community in the
