Enlightened One
A widely known, and often discussed topic, is Buddhism. Like all religions, there are
those that disagree with all concepts, and others that feel we can appreciate the perspectives and
ideologies it can bring. A strong artistic piece in Buddhism, is the sculpture “Shakyamuni
Buddha.” Although its creator is unknown, it can help shed light on many traditions, and
practices of Buddhism, which will be discussed much more in depth throughout this essay.
