PASSION FOR ENGLISH
The whole world is obsessed with learning the English language “ENGLISH MANIA” ,
this is so clear. But i find mania derives wrong connotations, in my opinion passion
describes the reasons why people around the world are learning English.
As Jay Walker said in the video, having English as a global language makes our lives
easier to communicate around the world. But my question is who decided that English
should be the most used language around the world? why can’t French be the most used
language in the world?
I am shocked to know that people in China are forced to learn English perfectly and as
mentioned in the video a students writes a giant exam for 3 whole days to get better grades
in her exams as 25% of his/her grades are based on English language in my opinion this is
a crazy rule.
Calling math the language of science and music the language to communicate emotion Jay
Walker is continuing his idea about widely used language as a problem solving technique.
Mathematics is taught worldwide and music is a universal language to express
emotion(sad or happy or even anger).
I conclude by saying that through all of the languages in the world, one widely spoken
language is useful for different people from different parts of the world to communicate
globally.
