The Main Point
The author of the essay “Officer Darren Wilson Isn’t the Point” is Tina Dupuy.
Tina Dupuy is a native New Yorker born in exile. She spent most of her youth moving
around place from place on two continents. Growing up for her was hard because she was
the daughter of two former self-involved cult members. Her philosophy is simple: As
long as there are gallows, someone will need to supply humor. Which comes back to her
main point in her essay. Today in media, the killing of Michael Brown, a young African
