In Flannery O’Connor’s A Good Man Is Hard to Find, there are many instances of
foreshadowing in the setting of the story. As defined in Backpack Literature, foreshadowing is
“an indication of events to come in a narrative. The author may introduce specific words, images,
or actions in order to suggest significant later events.”
