John Deer VS New Holland
Tractors have been around since the start of the motorized engine and are continuing to
grow more advanced every day. The invention of the tractor has made life for a farmer a lot less
labor intensive and timelier efficient for their daily schedule. Tractors come in all different sizes
varying from small homeowner lawn tractors, all the way to large agricultural tractors. There are
many different styles and companies that produce farm equipment tractors. Two major
companies that have a battle between who has more advanced equipment is John Deere and New
Holland. Both these distributers have very high-end equipment but have many differences
between them. Most differences that farmers look at the most are the motors offered, cab
accessory’s and accessory/implements for the equipment. These options play a major influence
in choosing which manufacture the customer decides to buy.
The most controversial differences between tractors are the amount of power the
machines put out for work abilities. For the average farmer, they are looking for a medium size
tractor with enough power to accomplish their tasks. John Deere offers a medium size tractor
part of the five thousand series family. The motor the that is produced is 4-cylinder 4.5-liter
diesel engine producing 50-120 horse power. This engine produces up to 112 PTO horse power
to run all different kinds of implements wanted by the costumer. The brand of New Holland also
has a medium series agricultural tractor called the T5 series. The motor offered is a 4-cylinder
3.4-liter diesel engine. The horse power offered is 45-100 hp and 85 PTO hp to run the tractor
