The quest for love, it’s intriguing, for those of us with no love life, a show like the
Bachelor is very entertaining. The drama, the competition, the traveling, it is all very
interesting to watch. The bachelor first aired in 2002, this show was a hit right off the
bat, the popularity led to the show the bachelorette airing a year later in 2003. Since
then, several spinoffs of the bachelor and bachelorette have been created, showing
different aspects of after the show such as married life and some are also different
versions of the show in a different season. Despite all the love these shows get, there is
also a little bit of hate from both viewers and some of the cast members. Some viewers
don’t like that there is not much ethnic or cultural diversity. Some cast members claim
that some of the show is scripted and the producers make them say things just to add
drama. Although the popularity of this show in the community is incredible, a question
poses, If there were 25 people in front of you could you figure out which one is the love
of your life? Or could the love of your life even be one of those 25 people in front of
you?
This reality show has a relatively strict plot, they will have a rose ceremony each
week to eliminate people. They travel to different countries and have group dates and
one on one dates. It is not often that the plot changes but there are some events that
could lead to the plot slightly changing. The show starts off with a single bachelor along
with 25 single women that will all live together in a huge mansion for several weeks.
