Introduction
In the documentary The Battle for Elephants, reveals the cruel slaughtering the African elephants must
face due to the high demands of ivory from the people of China. The documentary is led by two
undercover investigators that examines the story of a two country that are oblivious to the decreasing
population of the African elephants. Brian Christy reports from China and their justification of their
preposterous demand. From a strong religious belief, to merely earning a status in society, and to simply
just nodding and smiling obliviously, the Chinese departed from Confucianism to confusion-ism.
Meanwhile, in Tanzania Aiden meets with ivory dealers that leads him to a storage full of elephant tusk or
as Aiden coined it as “genocide.” The documentary also demonstrates elephants as incredibly intelligent
