Effects of Population Density and Noise
Environmental psychology is the observation of how natural environments impact
individuals and how individuals may impact their environment (Steg, 2013). The affects that an
individual or the environment may have on one another can be a good or bad influence
depending on the environment and individuals output. Elements such as noise and over
population influence an individual’s perception of a particular environment. Greenery, parks, and
several forms of recreational areas have the ability to uplift and restore areas, which also makes
an individual feel safe and get physically engaged in their environmental surroundings. The
construction of urban and rural areas differ and provide its residencies with different amenities,
which is why some people choose to live in either urban or rural areas depending on their
