1. Which topic are you leaning toward writing about? What drew you to this topic? I
am leaning towards writing about a fear. I think that I have some great examples to
use.
2. What prewriting method did you use? I am using the clustering method of pre-
writing. This is helping me to organize my ideas.
3. Do you plan to focus on causes, effects, or both? Why do you think this will
be an effective approach? At first, I was going to focus on both cause and effects. I
then decided to just focus on the causes. I feel like I wouldn’t have enough detail to
write about the effects.

The Undeniable Fear: Spirits
Have you ever awakened in the middle of the night and felt like someone, or
something was watching you? Did it cause the hair on your arm to pop out? Did it keep
you up all night? Was it a spirit? Were you fearful? I was not born fearful of spirits. My
fearfulness of spirits was learned through all the unfavorable experiences that I have
been through in my life.
