This concert was the presentation of a Junior student, so basically it was a junior recital,
and basically it was a soloist of the trombone and the piano was the background music.
The works on the program were the Concert for Trombone by Launy Grondahl, Elegy for
Mippy by Leonard Bernstein, Concerto for Alto Trombone by Jonahnn Albrechtsberger,
and the Brass Quintet Op. 73 by Malcom Arnold.
Well the composer or maker of this concert was a Edwin Cordoba, this was his Junior
Recital with Alto and Tenor Trombone. One of his works was from the Classical Era and
three out of four were from the 20th Century. Well as you can know the main instrument in
here were the trombone, then the piano, and finally the trumpet/horn/tuba. And particularly
I was really surprised when in one of his works named Elegy for Mippy, was a soloist with
his trombone, but he was kind of marking the rhythm with a piece of metal that he have in
his foot. The trumpets were using two types of mute.
The first work was a concert for trombone, so it was in 3 parts, the first one was like the
introduction, the second faster, and the third one was really fast and the slow and it was
going in repetition. The second one was the Elegy for Mippy, that was having something in
the foot and was only him with his trombone and foot instrument. The third one was a
