Editing in Bonnie and Clyde: Helping the Audience Feel a Certain Way
In the movie, Bonnie and Clyde, at 00:57:22, We are in the middle of a chase scene after
the gang robs a bank. During the chase scene we have exciting music playing as they runaway
from the cops during the highspeed chase that helps set a very thrilling mood. Then at 00:57:28
the music cuts and we are presented with a cop, being interviewed, who was at the bank that was
just robbed. The editing of the very abrupt scene change helps to reinforce a main point of
the movie that the media will always try to make the gang look as bad as possible.
