Why Joining the “EdFirst Support a Kid” Program Impacts Our Children’s Education
Did you know that children participating in our programs are positively improving their math and reading
skills within the first six months? EdFirst Foundation works in ten different cities helping improve the education of K-
12 grade children whose families have low income. Approximately 92 percent of children in EdFirst programs came
from families who fall under the federal poverty line. EdFirst Foundation have many programs to help encourage
and sharpen the minds of young children, however all we need from you is to join the EdFirst Support a Kid program
and donate for our cause. Examine the following list of reasons why joining this program is in your best interest:
1) What our program is about? You already had a brief concept of what our program is about, but here are
some more detailed facts about what our programs do for the community. EdFirst Foundation provides
plenty of resources such as:
➢ Mentoring, afterschool programs, textbooks, education centers, and more.
➢ Use resources to help children K-12 grade who are categorize in low-income families according to
the federal poverty line. However, we will not discriminate against children who are not considered to
have low-income. We will gladly take children in our program even if they are above the poverty line.
They’ll just receive a highly discounted price between $25 and $75.
2) Who are in our program? You might be wondering who is working with our program. We have some who
work full-time and part-time for our program, however most of the work is done by our volunteers. The
volunteers are the backbone of our programs since all of them mentor the children.
➢ Volunteers help afterschool programs and developed educational materials.
➢ Average mentor serves 7 years and 2.3 hours per week to help struggling children.
Volunteers represent the dedication and hope that people have for this program to make a better
difference in our children’s education.
3) The positive impacts our program achieves. The program is impacting children’s lives every day by
improving their reading and math skills above the average grade level.
➢ Reading levels improve by 1.4 grades within 6 months and 2.3 grade levels in 12 months.
Please come back again and be a part of making a difference for inner-city children who are not well
supported in their education because of financial setbacks. All we need is for you to do is join EdFirst Support a Kid
program by calling us or on our joining on our website. All that’s required is a donation of $20 monthly to get our
organization back on track.
