ECON 2304
Economic Breakdown of the Environment
To restore and maintain the truth of the environment imposes a burden on society
with respect to additional costs. The costs have great magnitude and complexity to
understand and the benefits that a better environment can provide to society. Economists
evaluate pollution through the methods of environmental economics.
Our society is forced to choose between the society and government. In economic
concept, environmental issues are split into two main categories: the generation of wastes
and pollutants is portrayed as unwanted by-products of human activities. The managing of
natural resources, including renewable and non-renewable resources.
When it comes to wastes and pollution, the key issue is how much should be
permitted. Are current pollution levels too high or too low? Preferably, we would like
pollution levels to be low as or eliminate pollution completely. In most cases, economists
have to consider the tradeoffs associated with lowering pollution levels. Economic analysis
provides important insights on the levels of pollution and the policies that can be
established to reach these levels.
